Denim company, Nudie Jeans and its shop designers consider aesthetics as well as performance when they furnish their stores with sound. Audio Pro Business systems kept things stylish with a wireless speaker solution without unsightly cables.

 

Swedish denim company, Nudie Jeans has hired Swedish speaker specialist, Audio Pro to create customer-facing in-store sound for several years. Nudie Jeans, with retail stores in Sweden, Europe, the USA and beyond, had a need to find a speaker solution that, as well as sounding good, also met the demands of the brand and its shop designers for an aesthetically pleasing solution.

Martin Da Sandklef, IT coordinator at Nudie Jeans, explains: "Audio Pro Business solved our aesthetic requirements for a wireless speaker solution using speakers that are easily clicked into rails in the ceiling, without any unsightly cables on show. It's no secret that architects are a bit allergic to ugly solutions with trailing cables, and quite honestly I also think that a minimalist design where you avoid this is preferable."

"We like to favour local businesses -  especially if they have a corporate philosophy that resembles our own." Nudie Jeans strongly cares about the environment and sustainability: its products are designed to withstand long-term and tough use and in addition they offer repair of the products when the jeans have been worn for a long time. In addition, they offer a re-use program that places the garments in a cycle between several users, all to burden the environment as little as possible.

Audio Pro Business eco-friendly speakers are easily clicked into rails in the ceiling, so can also be reused in a sustainable way by being able to be repositioned by the staff themselves, when, for example, the store’s layout is changed. It also means the speakers can be taken down and taken to a new outlet if necessary. Martin emphasizes that this flexibility and reusability, without having to send fitters out and run new cables, is very important to Nudie Jeans, and fits well with their environmental philosophy.

That the speakers deliver a good sound is naturally a given. "I have worked with sound before and my demands are high. And I can vouch that Audio Pro delivers what they promise", confirms Martin Da Sandklef. "Something else that is very important to us is the reliability that Audio Pro offers. It would be difficult for us to support these products remotely, so it is of the utmost importance that we have a speaker system that works without interruption. The fact that the Audio Pro Business system also enables different sound zones is also appreciated. Our stores are certainly not gigantic, so we do not need to have extremely many different sound zones, but it is of course important that we can regulate the sound level in e.g. the cash register so that a speaker does not stand and pump out such a high level that conversation becomes impossible, at the same time we can create an atmosphere with the help of a higher sound level in other parts of the room."
