Audio Pro upgrades its winning formula with C5 MkII for smaller spaces

Acclaimed Swedish brand, Audio Pro has launched a new version of its multi-award winning C5 speaker. The compact but high-performance C5 MkII now offers three ways to stream music to every room – via both AirPlay 2, Google Cast and Audio Pro's own multiroom system.


Following the enormous success of the next-generation C10 MkII upgrade, Audio Pro is introducing a new version of that speaker’s little brother. C5 MkII is the perfect multiroom music companion for smaller rooms and spaces, or simply a stunning wireless speaker in its own right. Jens Henriksen, CCO at Audio Pro explains; “Last year we launched an updated version of our award-winning C10 speaker, able to deliver multiroom sound via both AirPlay 2 and Google Cast as well as via Audio Pro's own multiroom system. Despite the C10 MkII being slightly more expensive than its predecessor, sales have increased dramatically, exceeding all our expectations – we have had to rapidly increase the pace of production to meet the demand.”


Customers soon started to demand a little brother to this powerful-sounding speaker. “Audio Pro owners are used to being able to build their own tailor-made multiroom music system in their homes, which means that they want to be able to put different speakers with different sizes adapted to the function and size of each room. Our previous C5 has been very popular in, for example, bedrooms, kitchens and other smaller rooms, where a C10 can be considered too powerful. And now that we have been able to offer the C10 MkII with AirPlay 2 and Google Cast, there is of course a demand for even a smaller speaker with similar features,” explains Jens Henriksen. Both C10 MkII and C5 MkII also has Spotify Connect and Bluetooth features.


More new features

The C5 MkII follows the iconic styling of its predecessor, with an open front and leather handle. But on the control panel at the top, another preset button has appeared. "Our convenient preset buttons are very popular amongst our consumers, so we took the opportunity to increase the number from four to six buttons with the update of the new model," says Jens Henriksen. The preset buttons access the favourite playlist, or favourite radio station with a simple push of a button, without ever having to open the app in the mobile phone.


What’s next

Expect to see a wide range of additional Audio Pro speakers using the company’s triple-choice multiroom music platform in the coming months - including solutions adapted to both room size and aesthetics as the Swedish specialist aims to try and meet all the individual needs of customers.
