Circle K makes Audio Pro sound part of the customer experience.

Audio Pro speakers are installed at more than 100 Circle K fuel stations in Sweden, both in-store and outdoors. Circle K wants to create a welcoming atmosphere and believes music has a big impact on the customer experience – especially for travellers stopping for a much-needed break.

Jasmine Johansson is the manager at Circle K’s new flagship store in Gränna – a unique location with fantastic views of Lake Vättern now supported by Audio Pro speakers. She says: “Sound has a big impact on the customer experience, and we want it to be possible to enjoy pleasant music wherever you are in the area. Therefore, we have placed speakers both inside and outside, so visitors feel welcome and have a beneficial break in their journey. Many long-distance travellers visit us thanks to our favourable location along the E4 and being so conveniently located means we generate a lot of in-store traffic.”

Johansson says the addition of music means the store can now reach its full potential, adding: “We called it a ‘sleeping beauty’; a store in a fantastic location that needed some love.” This spring, the store was rebuilt with an entirely new concept and the surface area has been radically expanded to three times as large as before. Circle K has also invested in Audio Pro speakers both indoors and outdoors. “Now we feel significantly better equipped to be able to receive the large flow of customers and offer a much better recreational environment,” says Johansson.

“We installed Audio Pro's outdoor speakers at the pumping station so it feels nicer when you stand and fill up. Indoors, we wanted to lower noise levels and adjust them accordingly for different areas. That is why Audio Pro's speaker system works so well because it allows us to control the volume through different sound zones. For example, we play music at lower levels at the cash register in order to promote conversation, while where you collect drinks, it is desirable to have a slightly higher sound level, likewise in the seating area.”

Audio Pro's wireless speakers are also easy to mount using existing lighting rails, something Johansson also appreciates, adding: “This means we can easily move a speaker to another location whenever we wish, without having to run a new cable. In addition, you don't have to destroy ceiling tiles to install speakers.”
