Food, light and sound in a new concept for Michelin-awarded chef

Michelin-starred chef Anton Bjuhr has created a new restaurant with a more holistic concept that aims at stimulating all physical senses. Swedish speaker designer Audio Pro has delivered the sound for this highly personalized, gastronomic oasis.

When Anton Bjuhr sold his 2-starred restaurant, Gastrologik in Stockholm a couple of years ago and moved his family to the southern part of Sweden, he was pretty fed up with chasing Michelin stars. Anton wanted to find a completely new concept to focus on. Anton explains; “I wanted to find something that would allow me to continue taking care of people, but in a more personal way. When I stumbled upon this slightly different venue by chance, I realized that I would be able to do just that in this very special space.”

Restaurant Dörr 6H is named after the address at which the place is located. It is an old factory building that previously housed an old battery factory. “I found a place that has now been transformed into a cozy living room. I usually say that my restaurant is like your home, but at a different address,” says Anton Bjuhr. And since my restaurant doesn’t have opening hours like a regular restaurant, but can only be booked for private parties, the customer experience becomes highly personalized, as I only entertain one party at a time.

To customize his service to suit specific needs and requests from an individual dinner party is something that Anton is very passionate about. “In a restaurant, the overall experience is very important. Food, lighting and sound all help to influence how a guest perceives the dinner experience. And by this unique concept, I’m able to tailor make this experience by making individual choices about all these components.” Anton was advised by his friend to consider choosing speakers from Audio Pro for this new restaurant. The friend himself had several speakers from Audio Pro at home, and knew that the company also had a range tailored specifically to restaurants, shops and other businesses.

Jens Henriksen, CCO at Audio Pro confirms, “We were contacted by Dörr 6H, and as a result a number of speakers from our Audio Pro Business range are now installed in these fantastic premises. In some rooms where there were power rails already in place, speakers that can be easily clicked into place in the rails were chosen. Then you do not have to run separate power cables. In other rooms, the speakers were mounted directly in the ceiling.”

The concept of offering only private events means that Anton is able to adapt the choice of music to the preferences of his party. “Sound and light are perceived very differently by different people and, in my opinion, are largely affected by the interests of the guests. I believe that, unlike other restaurants that must play music that fits all guests, I can tailor both food, light and sound to a much greater extent to the specific guests attending each individual event. I am very passionate about creating a tailor-made overall experience that is fully adapted to the specific wishes of my guests,” concludes Anton Bjuhr.
