Golf resort in Spain enhances the guest experience with great sound

Northern Europe's largest MCO, GolfStar, has installed wireless sound from Swedish speaker manufacturer Audio Pro in its new golf facility in Cambrils, Spain.

Few people would consider background music to be a natural feature on the golf course. But at GolfStar's facility in Cambrils, Spain, this is exactly what has been arranged for. Just in time for their opening premiere in January 2024, Audio Pro Business speaker systems were installed in both the clubhouse and out on their lovely outdoor terrace. "Everything to make sure that we provide an enhanced guest experience for our members and guests," says Stefan Brikell, CEO of GolfStar Spain S.L.

GolfStar, with over 47,000 members, is Northern Europe's largest MCO (Multi Course Owner and Operator) and operates a total of 20 golf courses spread over 13 facilities, an Indoor Center around Greater Stockholm and also one facility in Spain. When opening its facility just outside Barcelona, the goal was to create an atmosphere that makes guests feel relaxed and promotes recreation. "It was an instant success," says Stefan Brikell, "To quote one of our members who spontaneously expressed; “Is it a golf course with a bar, or a bar with a golf course? We find that to be absolutely fantastic feedback and in line with our vision of creating a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and feeling at our new facility here in Cambrils," continues Stefan.

Jens Henriksen, CCO at Audio Pro, comments “I play golf myself, and appreciate a relaxed atmosphere at the facilities I visit. And sound obviously plays a big role in how one perceives an environment. We are of course very happy that GolfStar chooses to use our system.
