Audio Pro’s mighty Drumfire speaker duo has been updated to a next-generation version with an audio upgrade, more preset options and now three ways to enjoy your music in every room: AirPlay 2, Google Cast, and the company’s very own multiroom system.
Swedish speaker specialist, Audio Pro has launched Drumfire II, an updated version of its award-winning Drumfire powerhouse.
Jens Henriksen, CCO at Audio Pro comments: “When Drumfire was released in 2018, we expected a positive reaction, but even in our wildest imagination, we could not have foreseen the product would be so popular. The great sound has resonated with many more consumer groups than we expected – it’s popular not just among rock lovers who want to shake the room, but also with fans of jazz and classical music, as its sound reproduction picks up nuances in the music that are appreciated across different musical genres.”
“Four years on, we have updated our award-winning bad boy, meeting the need to offer both AirPlay 2 and Google Cast, alongside our own multiroom streaming option”, adds Henriksen.
As before, the company offers the option to only buy the upper speaker without the lower subwoofer, which also comes with AirPlay 2 and Google Cast. Just like its predecessor, the Drumfire D-2 can easily sit on a bench or a shelf and deliver a stylish sound; it remains a solid alternative if you are not able to find floorspace for the full Drumfire II.
In addition to the sound being further improved in this new Drumfire II, the number of preset buttons has increased to six. “Our popular presets buttons, by which you can easily start your favourite playlist or radio channel with a simple push of a button directly on the speaker, without even opening the app on your phone, are something that still gets very positive reviews. We are taking the opportunity to increase the number of preselection buttons now in connection with the new launch,” says Jens Henriksen. Both speakers also offers Spotify Connect and Bluetooth.
The playful suggestion that Drumfire’s powerful sound would make neighbours complain that a concert is taking place next door has been made in many products test around the world. The Scandinavian company expects the sequel Drumfire II and Drumfire D-2 to meet the same results. "Drumfire will probably be met with the same positive criticism, it has only gotten even better, and we believe that it will continue to ‘rock on’ at our consumers' homes for a number of years to come," concludes Jens Henriksen.
